Student Grievance Redressal Cell

The Student Grievance Redressal Cell at K.M.C. College, Khopoli provides a formal mechanism for students to raise academic and non-academic complaints and get timely redressal. The cell functions in accordance with UGC guidelines on addressing student grievances.

All complaints received are treated with confidentiality. The committee ensures impartial inquiry and fair resolution of all grievances within a reasonable timeframe.

Types of Grievances Handled

Academic Issues

Complaints related to teaching quality, unfair evaluation, attendance marking errors, and academic policies.

Fee-Related Issues

Complaints about incorrect fee charging, refund delays, or fee category disputes.

Harassment

Complaints of bullying, ragging, or any form of harassment by fellow students or staff.

Infrastructure Issues

Complaints about classroom conditions, laboratory equipment, washroom facilities, canteen hygiene, etc.

Administrative Issues

Issues related to certificates, bonafide letters, migration certificates, or document processing.

Discipline-Related

Complaints related to unjust disciplinary action or breach of college rules by any party.

How to Submit a Grievance

Step 1: Informal Resolution

First, try to resolve the issue informally by speaking to your Class Representative (CR) or directly to the concerned faculty member or department head.

Step 2: Written Complaint

If the issue is not resolved informally, submit a written complaint to the Grievance Redressal Cell. The complaint should clearly describe the issue with relevant details.

Step 3: Submit to Office

Submit the written complaint in a sealed envelope addressed to the "Chairperson, Grievance Redressal Cell" at the college office. Complaints can also be submitted through the suggestion/grievance box.

Step 4: Inquiry

The committee will acknowledge your complaint within 5 working days and conduct an impartial inquiry.

Step 5: Resolution

The committee will communicate its decision within a reasonable timeframe. If not satisfied, students may escalate to the university-level grievance cell.
